SOCIOLOGY AND THE THREE APPROACHES OF IT.

Sociology  is the study of companionship.  It’s the subject matter that range from the micro level to the macro level, where by micro sociology involves the study of people by interacting with them and macro level involves the study of wide spread social processes. Under this study various approaches have been discussed as follows;

  •  SCIENCE BASED APPROACH.
 In some aspects science is anything that is objective, the scientist brings to any setting a prior scheme that is used to interpret and analyze the world. Scientific approach in sociology means is a scientific discipline which investigators use  scientific methods, which are systematic to research questions and problems through objective and accurate observation, collection and analysis of data, and direct experimentation. This approach is very important to sociologist because they bring ability when gathering the information and make a person remaining unbiased when evaluating information, observing phenomena, conducting experiment and accurately recording procedures used.
That information is about various aspects of society and social behavior. Sociologist use the scientific method like other scientists, they use the accurate and unbiased collection and analysis of social data, use systematic observation, conduct experiments. In 19th century there were moral order and social control such as world wars, exploitation  because of the problem  some great classical thinkers where puzzled with the problem so in order to solve that problem they use scientific method in order to get factual information.
  • SOCIAL BASED APPROACH,
based on organizing knowledge about one’s world. Only one of which is science. These socially based approaches to understanding all involve internal conceptual systems that are communicated among individuals using an externally observable shared symbols. Being able to use such shared symbol systems opens the door to opportunities for improving and expanding personal understanding, not only does it enable the individual to communicate his thoughts to others but also receive communication from others.

  • IDEOLOGICAL BASED APPROACH
According to Inger Lasse (2006) in their book mediating ideology in text and image: Ten critical  studies ,the guys tried to explore some of the ideological process operating in mass media discourse and how such process may influence readers belief about the world..
Their common aim is to assist the audience to read between the lines, thus offering a variety of approaches that may contribute to a better understanding of how ideologists work and how they may be beneficial.
