ADVERTISING AND CONSUMER BEHAVIOURS
Kotler
and Armstrong (2008) further suggest advertising as a tool to inform consumers
about the products and services an organization offers to the market. It is
also important for the new organization or company together with their
products. This is simply because through advertising the customer will be aware
of the new products in the market, apart from that advertising help much for
the products or services to develop. They
continue by suggesting, customers are also informed about the price of the
products as well as the instruction on how to use that product through informing
as the role of advertising. Due to this fact customers become part and parcel
of the products or services and hence facilitate the changing of customers’
behaviors.
Persuasion
is also the role of advertising. Kotler
and Armstrong believe that, in order for customers to think and desire of the
certain product or services, advertisement should capture the mind of the
customers in order to attract them and lead the customers to act on their side,
simply any adverts should have the power of persuade the customers. Through
doing that will lead the customers to follow the wish of persuader, by doing so
the company or business will have many consumers and this also will contribute
to high sales.
