According to the book titled diplomatic hand book, it has illustrated that protocol is a custom and regulation dealing with ceremonies and etiquette of the diplomatic corps and others at the court and the military. Diplomatic originated from Greek word PROTOKOLION meaning a first leaf glued to the front of a manuscript and contain roles as to the content

Protocol also can be defined simply as a service that deals with the most acceptable method or the best way of doing a thing or of conducting a business. Protocol is a skill in a management or administrative services industry that can vary from how to organize a simple family meeting to the complexities of organizing international multilateral summit of heads of state and government. It may be interesting to note that in Portuguese language the word protocol is translated as ceremonies which actually mean ceremonies.
